Davis Ranch has teamed up with the Ogeechee Technical College's

AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology Program in order to foster student

learning through practical experience in large animal medicine.



Veterinary Technology Degree

** Program graduates receive a Veterinary Technology Associate Applied Science Degree,

developed in accordance with the American Veterinary Medical Association accreditation

guidelines, and are eligible to sit for the Georgia Board examination to become qualified as

registered veterinary technicians.

Veterinary Technicians primarily function as professional technical support to

veterinarians, biomedical researchers, and other scientists. 

National Veterinary Technician week is the 3rd week in October every year




The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) is a nonprofit

organization that represents and promotes the profession of Veterinary Technology. NAVTA

provides direction, education, support, and coordination for its members. Incorporated in 1

1981, NAVTA is the national organization devoted exclusively to developing and enhancing

the profession of veterinary technology.
